Directions to Clissmann Horse Caravan Base at Cronybyrne

Travelling southbound on the N11 from Dublin take exit 15 signposted for Ashford R772.

Enter roundabout and take second exit following signs for Ashford. Continue over bridge crossing the motorway and enter roundabout. Take 1st exit for Ashford. Continue to next roundabout and take 2nd exit following signs for Ashford. You will pass the Country Life store on your right and then enter the village of Ashford. Continue straight on and take 1st exit on the roundabout in the village.

** For those who need to stop for shopping, you will find a CENTRA shop on your left as you travel through the main street of the village. You will find an off-licence across the road from the Centra shop. Further down the street is a good butcher shop also on the left.**

**if you plan to stop for a meal en route you have ample choice in Ashford. On your right hand side you will find Ashford House, Ashford Oriental and The Chester Beatty Inn. On the left is a lovely pizzeria which also offers take away. Next door is Adriano’s, a very good fish and chip shop. As you drive through the village you will pass Mount Usher Gardens on the grounds of which you will find and AVOCA cafe and Bakery.**

Continue straight through the village of Ashford until you come to another roundabout. Take the 2nd exit for Rathnew which brings you over the bridge crossing the N11. Enter next roundabout and take 1st exit following signs for Rathnew.

Continue straight ahead, passing a Fiat car dealership on your left and an Apple garage on your right until you reach the next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit signposted for Rathdrum R752.

Continue approx 5 KM until you reach the village of Glenealy. Travel straight through the village. You will cross 2 speed bumps as you exit the village. Continue straight on, passing the Glenealy Landscape Centre and Kelly’s Garden sheds on your left.

Prepare to turn right shortly after Kelly’s Garden Sheds.  The right turn is on this bend just before the railway bridge over the road.

Turn right on the road L2116 signposted “SCENIC ROUTE”.

Follow this road up a steep winding hill until you come to a staggered crossroads called Garryduff crossroads. At the crossroads turn right and then immediately left following the sign for Laragh & Glendalough. Continue straight on crossing an old stone bridge.

The horse caravan base is the next entrance on the left. You will see a wide opening with two large stones and horse caravans in the field.
