Powerscourt Gardens

Powerscourt Gardens

Powerscourt Gardens were recently voted No.3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic.

Set against the backdrop of the great Sugarloaf Mountain, Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall are just a 30 minute drive from our glamping site at Cronybyrne. Designed to be a garden that was part of the wider landscape, Powerscourt stretches over 47 acres and offers visitors a sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statues and ornamental lakes, secret hollows and rambling walks. Overlooking the breath-taking Sugarloaf Mountain with some of the best views in Ireland, Powerscourt House is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy browsing selection of gift stores or to indulge in a coffee and dessert in the famous Avoca Terrace Café.

The Waterfall at Powerscourt is Ireland’s highest at 121m (398ft.) and is 6km from the Main Estate. It is set in one of Ireland’s most beautiful parklands at the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. It is an ideal location for summer picnics and barbecues and there is a vast amount of space to keep children entertained with a playground for younger children and plenty of local wildlife to discover.
