The Annamoe Trout Fishery

For an unforgettable family experience, why not bring the kids along to learn how to fly fish and catch your dinner for your barbecue! Annamoe Trout Fishery is a 4 acre lake set on the banks of the Annamoe River and just a 15 minute drive away from our glampsite at Cronybyrne.  The Junior pond is well stocked with trout averaging 10” – 12” and an ideal location for a full day enjoying nature at its best.

The Fly Fishing lessons for both beginners and advanced include a private session of up to 2 hours with a qualified instructor, rod hire and fly selection tips, equipment setup, fishing with wet and dry flies and fishing for the remainder of the day.

This site in Annamoe is also home to the Irish working Sheepdog demonstrations and combined they make a great day out on a glamping holiday with us!

Wicklow Boat Charters

For a fun day out angling and plenty of fresh sea air, Wicklow Boat Charters offer Angling charters with a qualified skipper for all level of anglers. Based in Wicklow Town, a 20 minute drive from our glamping accommodations, they run charters on a full-day, half-day or evening trip basis that can be tailored to suit your needs and rods, reels and tackle can also be supplied.

The East coast waters off Wicklow are home to some of the best fishing in Ireland, with Wicklow boasting record catches of Tope, Bull-Huss, Ray, Smooth-Hound and Spurdog in recent years. Gurnurd, pollock, whiting and codling can be caught on the inshore grounds or mackerel during the summer months.

Your Skipper Kit is a qualified and experienced local skipper/angler with more than 30 years boat handling and angling experience. As a local Wicklow man, with experience in the RNLI, Kit has a wealth of knowledge of the local waters and coastline, maritime history and safety at sea.

All charters have the provision of a safe and secure trip on-board a comfortable and stable boat with inside and outside seating, toilet facilities and complimentary tea & coffee.

The National Disabled Angling Facility

Located in the picturesque village of Aughrim and 30 minutes by car from our farm, this fishery is well stocked with rainbow trout in a 4 acre lake situated in an lovely 8 eight acre riverside park.

It is nestled in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains and provides anglers with a great backdrop for their days fishing and specially constructed pathways for disabled anglers to get within 45cms of the lakeside. A choice of permits is available from hourly to daily rates and casting tuition is available for newcomers to the sport.
