Brittas Bay Surf School is just a 20 minute drive from our farm glampsite and a great way to spend a day on the water with family or friends. They provide a friendly, safe and fun introduction to surfing at the unspoilt sandy beach of Brittas Bay. The combination of adrenaline, idyllic Wicklow surroundings and the satisfaction of catching your first few waves makes for a truly unforgettable experience and a hot soup or coffee at the Bay Café is the best way to round off the day!
The Surf School offer lessons, SUP lessons and kid surf camps and all of their instructors are fully qualified in either a Level 1 or Level 2 surf coaching and are qualified beach lifeguards. They also use soft safe ISA Approved surfboards that are easy to learn on and to keep you warm they offer 5/3mm Billabong wetsuits.

Wicklow Boat Charters offer boat charters with a qualified skipper for Angling, Heritage, Scenic and Wildlife Tours. Based in Wicklow town they are just a 20 minute drive from our glamping farm at Cronybyrne.
For an exhilarating day out with family or friends, it is hard to beat a tour by boat with lots of fresh sea air, the wind in your hair and amazing views of Wicklow’s rugged coastline. You will also get to see plenty of nature & wildlife close-up – seals, birds, dolphins and occasionally even whales.
The unique perspective from the sea offers great views of scenic and historic hidden gems including The Black Castle, Wicklow Head, caves, lighthouses and renowned beaches like Silver Strand and Brittas Bay. Angling Charters are also offered on a full-day, half-day and evening trip basis and can be tailored to suit your needs. All levels of anglers are catered for and rods, reels and tackle can be supplied.
All charters have the provision of a safe and secure trip on-board a comfortable and stable boat with inside and outside seating, toilet facilities and complimentary tea & coffee.
Wicklow Kayaking offer kayak rental and instruction on the beautiful River Vartry, located right in the centre of Wicklow Town and just a 20 minute drive from our farm. With your kayak, paddle the gentle waters of Broad Lough, an intertidal lough that is fed by the Vartry River and drains out to sea at Wicklow Harbour.
With the Wicklow Hills as a backdrop, relax and unwind and enjoy the rich diversity of habitats and a wealth of wildlife on show. A definite highlight is the chance to see Otters fishing and playing on the banks.
Broad Lough nature reserve is part of the 15km Murrough Wetlands, the largest wetland complex on the East Coast of Ireland.
